Step 1

Find a kiosk at:

Step 2

Find a life jacket that is the right size and fit for you or your child. Test to make sure it isn't too big.

Step 3

Scan the QR code on the kiosk to fill out the use agreement and you're ready to use your life jacket to stay safe around the water. Please return life vests within one week of use so others may also benefit from the program.

How it's paid for

The Life Jacket Program is funded by grants as well as through donations to the Albany Firefighters Community Assistance Fund (AFFCAF). If you would like to make a donation towards the Life Jacket Program, please call 541-917-7700.

 

The Albany Fire Department's overall Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification rating is Class 2 for all areas serviced by the Department located within five road miles of a recognized fire station. Any properties over five road miles from a recognized fire station remain at a Public Protection Classification rating of 10. Effective May 1, 2019
