What requires a Fire Code permit in Albany?

Fire Code permits issued in the City of Albany are for one-time occurrences of:

Fireworks Storage, Sales, and Displays/Shoots

Fireworks Storage, Sales, and Displays/Shoots

per the Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM)

NOTE: Fireworks display permits for dates during the typical fire season and/or burn restrictions may not be approved. All permits are subject to revocation for hazardous weather conditions.

(Please allow five (5) business days for processing)

After applying:

  1. Schedule and receive compliance inspection(s).
  2. Comply with all City of Albany Fire Code requirements.

The Albany Fire Department's overall Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification rating is Class 2 for all areas serviced by the Department located within five road miles of a recognized fire station. Any properties over five road miles from a recognized fire station remain at a Public Protection Classification rating of 10. Effective May 1, 2019
